Nacido en Málaga (1972) y afincado en el norte de Extremadura, Enrique Gavilán escribe, es fotógrafo y médico de pueblo.
Su obra se nutre de la fotografía narrativa, el documentalismo contemporáneo y la poesía visual. Sus temas ventrales son la búsqueda de la libertad y de la identidad, las interacciones entre hombre y naturaleza y las tensiones entre realidad y deseo, en las que explora las interfaces entre imagen y palabra.
Born in Málaga, Spain (1972), and settled in the mountains of Extremadura, Enrique Gavilán is an amateur photographer and apprentice poet, as well as a country doctor.
His work is nourished by narrative photography and contemporary documentary photography. His ventral themes are the search for freedom and identity, the interactions between humans and the natural environment and the tensions between reality and desire, in which he investigates by exploring the poetic interfaces between image and word.
